Like it or not, fall is upon us. Personally, I think fall is the hottest season for fashion. I could live in cardigans, sweaters, and booties all year long! In today’s blog post, I am sharing some trends for fall 2020 that I am absolutely loving and will be adding to my wardrobe. I’m also sharing how I personally am interpreting these runway trends, and how I will style them. I’m noticing a resurgence of past trends on the runways for fall 2020, which means that many of these items can be found at the thrift store!
Equestrian Chic
As a self-proclaimed “horse girl”, this trend is really speaking to me. Double breasted blazers, long riding boots, polo shirts, and riding pants – sign me up!
You can easily wear this trend by pairing some knee-high boots with some trousers, and a more fitted blazer, and you’ll be off to the races (no pun intended).
Brown Leather Jackets and Total Tan Ensembles
There has been no shortage of leather on the runway for fall 2020. Leather blazers, leather on leather, and leather dresses are all trending this season. I’m particularly loving the brown faux-leather jackets, which are a nice switch-up from black! Another trend hitting the runways this fall is to match together various shades of chocolate brown, caramel, and tan.
Oversized Blazers
For this trend, think really oversized, masculine blazers. I love pairing oversized blazers with an oversized t-shirt, or layering on top of an oversized sweater when those chilly days hit.

Oversized Button-downs
You may be sensing an oversized theme here by now… These oversized button-downs can be worn in so many different ways. I have opted for a more classic style below, by pairing my button-down with black jeans and boots. I also love styling oversized button-downs underneath an oversized crewneck or sweater vest, for a fun layered look.

90s Grunge
I have never stopped loving 90s fashion. For this trend, think bold plaid, chunky boots, and statement chokers, paired with more delicate sheer, lace or silk pieces. The juxtaposition of the delicate and the bold is so edgy and different!
